Many of the gifts presented to Calne from our twin towns were on display, along with news stories, the history of the twinning between the twin town and Calne - even some interesting ancedotes had been provided.
The display featured past copies of the Calne and District Twinning Association (now Friends of Calne Twinning) newsletter. There were also plenty of newspaper snippets, anecdotes from Calne residents that had visited Charlieu during the first few years of twinning, and information about where the twin towns are and some of their history.
Over such a long period of time (since 1970 with Charlieu), many gifts have exchanged hands. Here are some of the gifts presented to Calne that were on display during the exhibition.
