Councillor Work: 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Tree planting at Hillcroft.

Back in autumn 2022, I designed a draft planting scheme for Hillcroft, with an avenue and a memorial tree, commemorating Queen Elizabeth II.

On 4 December 2023, the scheme was further developed further at the request of myself and fellow councillors.

The grounds team planted the trees recently to much support from members of the public.

Our memorial tree is a Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera), centered within an avenue of species such as Cherry ‘Royal Burgundy’, with orchard trees at the western entrance to Hillcroft.
