Part of my usual litter picking route goes through Newbury Avenue green space, fondly known as the 'Circle of Trees' for the lime trees planted in this location. Due to its proximity to the Tesco Express store, this area receives a large amount of litter. Over the years I've been frustrated with the lack of a general bin at this well used location.
Last week, after obtaining a licence from Wiltshire Council, Calne Town Council have funded and installed a new bin at my request.
Many thanks to the grounds team for installing the bin - which I was pleased to see is already being used.
